Nerd Trivia Night is back in the form of a live stream on our Causeacon Facebook page!
Since most of you are keeping safe from the COVID-19 outbreak by staying in our homes, we here at Causeacon wanted to try and give you a little bit of fun while we all wait it out with the Live Stream Nerd Trivia Night!
Tune in to our Facebook page on March 29th at 7 PM for a live stream version of Nerd Trivia Night where everyone is free and welcome to participate. The structure will change from our normal Nerd Trivia Nights and we will list our rules below:
- Nerd Trivia Night will consist of 30 random Nerd themed questions, there will be no categories, it's a free-for-all!
- Our MC (Dezi) will read the questions aloud and you will have to leave a comment on the live video to answer the question.
- To answer a question, you will comment "Question Number: Answer", the first person to comment the first correct answer will get the point for that question.
- The person with the most points at the end of the trivia will receive a prize (TBA)
- Feel free to keep track of your own scores to see how well you do over all!
- Since we encourage players to dress up in cosplay to the real Nerd Trivia Night, feel free to throw a costume on at home and send us a picture in the comments!
Nerd Trivia Night is a monthly fundraiser we do at McDonald's to raise money for Causeacon, a non-profit charity convention that supports the Women's Resource Center in Beckley, WV. They in turn support and help men, women and children who suffer from domestic and sexual abuse.
Since this live version of Nerd Trivia Night is free for everyone, we will still be hosting our charity raffle. We will announce our raffle prize pack and you can purchase raffle tickets from our ticketleap:
$1 - 1 ticket
$5 - 7 tickets
$10 - 16 tickets
$20 - 35 tickets
How will the raffle work?
- When you purchase your tickets online, you will be asked to leave you first and last name, phone number and address. If you purchase single $1 tickets, you will get a ticket with your name on it for each ticket you buy this way put in our raffle bucket.
- If you choose the $5 option you will receive 7 tickets with your name and so on for the other ticket options.
- The winner will be announced at the end of the Live Stream Nerd Trivia Night and prizes will be mailed out soon after.
For those of you who wish to donate to Causeacon, there will be a donation ticket option for you to donate $5 for our charity convention.
